Lazy Sundays

Is there anything better than a lazy Sunday morning, especially during the holidays? Just relaxing with nothing really to do all day. This is especially lovely when there is a fresh coat of snow outside, but you don't need to go out into it at all. An added bonus is when your significant other cooks you a delicious breakfast!

Ben and Jerry's FREE CONE DAY!

I love ice cream (duh) but even better than ice cream is FREE ice cream. Tomorrow is Ben and Jerry's annual Free Cone Day where they give out free ice cream. Yes you heard right. Tomorrow from 12-8pm Ben and Jerry's is giving out free ice cream.

Giving a Great Presentation

I just had to give a presentation for school, nothing big, but still I was in front of ~30 people talking in front of some slides. It went well, and I got a few laughs, and stimulated some great conversation, so I'm quite happy! Nice way to end the work week, don't you think?

Nectarines in my Salad

Most of my posts tend to be about food but I don't care, because I love eating. Right now I am eating a salad that I put cut up nectarines in. They are sweet and a somewhat unusual salad ingredient so it keeps you from being bored when you eat a salad everyday for lunch. Yum!

Pancake Batter in a Can

You may think it sounds gross and how could it possibly be good, but this pancake batter is amazing. It's whole wheat and organic so you can convince yourself it's really healthy. I also used it to make pancake-encrusted sausages, kind of like they have at Dunkin Donuts, but healthier (maybe). Anyway, give this batter a shot if you're lazy like me and want pancakes on a Tuesday morning! 

Quarters

Do other people have favorite currencies? Because mine is the quarter. I don't know why, but I really like quarters. I shouldn't, because they aren't worth too much anymore: 1/4 a load of laundry, 1/6 a cup of tea, 1/7 a bottle of soda. Despite being worth little, they're the most valuable commonly used coin, and I have an unexplainable fondness for them. I've started collecting the state park quarters but my quarter love started long ago.

When You Think You're Going to Get Sick, and You Don't

I don't like being sick, who does? So last Friday when I had a headache and my muscles all started to hurt, I began to panic, fearing the worst. I didn't feel to hot on Saturday (and spent all day watching the first season of 30 Rock) but by Sunday morning I was 100% back to normal. And that was that! No sniffles, no upset stomach, no lingering problems. Hooray!
